Did Adam Swallow The Forbidden Fruit?

Legend made us to believe that when Eve was tempted by Satan to eat the forbidden fruit, she did eat the fruit and saved for Adam. She then tempted Adam to eat of it and the moment Adam took a bite of it, their eyes opened and they realized that they were naked. Adam realized that he had sinned against God but it was too late to spit the fruit out as it had already gone down his throat, however, Adam did not swallow it as the fruit got stuck in his throat and made a bulging sign akin to that of a chicken that swallowed a grasshopper. I believe that, that is the reason why the protrusion on the frontal view of men's neck, located on the surface of the throat, is referred to as ADAM's APPLE.
